The "Somos Comunidade" project began in October 2021 and is promoted by the ATV - Académico de Torres Vedras association. It operates in the Encosta de São Vicente (neighbourhoods of Floresta, Matadouro, Reis, Barreto, Cruz das Almas, Choupal, Forte and Ameais), in Torres Vedras, promoting the exercise of citizenship and the active participation of the community, mobilising the arts and various tools and means of communication for this purpose. Funded by the Healthy neighbourhoods programme in the 2021-2022 biennium, with the support of the Torres Vedras City Council*, it is developing a Community TV and Newspaper, with the aim of creating new senses, experiences and relationships in the territory, echoing the life stories and dreams of the inhabitants, through differentiating media, capable of reaching various audiences. We also actively promote partnerships, of diversified scope, with other local entities.
