This pilot project follows on from the action "The Hospital is in the Neighbourhood", carried out in 2019 by the HGO (a partner in this project), which raised awareness and screened the population. J.F. Amora supported the intervention and is now a partner. This project continues that work, with a team from the HGO that has autonomised itself to carry out actions outside normal working hours. The project includes raising awareness about seeking healthcare, promoting healthy lifestyles and health literacy, carrying out cervical cancer screenings, diabetes and the fight against obesity. It focuses on women's health, with an emphasis on sexual and reproductive health throughout the life cycle and its influence on overall health, empowering women to make decisions about their health and that of their families. It will also seek to raise awareness of domestic violence and female genital mutilation. The focus is on proximity and direct contact through an informal partnership with the Neighbourhood Association.
