The Bebé ao Colo Project aims to combat and prevent parental neglect and social exclusion among pregnant women and/or carers of babies up to one year old by promoting healthy behaviours. As such, the multidisciplinary team that makes up the Project provides parenting training sessions, social support and formal and informal counselling with the aim of empowering families to respond to their baby's main needs. The training sessions are organised by the AJU Foundation's technical team and ACES Alcabideche.

We also have a team of 5 volunteers from different backgrounds (Medicine/Nursing/Teaching) who accompany the mums and their babies throughout the sessions, home visits and video call meetings.

The project has two specific objectives: training sessions and social support.
