SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEM is an intelligent irrigation system implemented in the intervention area and under the responsibility of INFRALOBO, E.M., which through a meteorological station that measures the rainfall in the air, adjusts automatically and without human intervention the irrigation in about 90 existing irrigation cabinets that water the 22 hectares of public green spaces under our care. The system defines the time it needs to be off, according to the rainfall that falls, and has been responsible for a 44% reduction in water consumption in the irrigation of green spaces (- 150 thousand m3 of water per year) since it was implemented, currently consuming an average of 3.7 litres/m2 per day when the limit of efficiency defined by the various bibliographies on the subject is between 3 litres/m2 per day and 5 litres/m2 per day. It is possible to know the amount of water used in each of the green spaces under our care, in a total of 22 hectares.
