Water efficiency label for tourist resorts, with the aim of certifying the reduction in water consumption and the commitment of companies to saving this important resource. To join this Seal, companies must sign up to a SAVE WATER Commitment Charter, which involves the following aspects:

* Efficient and conscientious water management by tourist accommodation, with a view to helping achieve the objectives of reducing the volume of water consumed by the urban sector by 15 per cent;
* Sharing, publicising and encouraging good water efficiency practices among its employees and clients or users;
* Adopting an Action Plan (attached) for water efficiency that includes at least 30 measures from among those listed in the document "Water Efficiency Measures" (attached), with a view to responding immediately to the alert situation regarding water resources, in accordance with the requirements specified in the Action Plan;
* Monitoring water consumption from the supply network;
* The periodic recording on the Water Efficiency Platform<https://compromissoagua.adene.pt/BU?nav=DaxWRDIz> of the information needed to follow up and monitor the commitment, namely the progress in implementing the measures set out in the Action Plan and the water consumption recorded in 2023 and that verified in 2024;
* Displaying and publicising the Water Efficiency Commitment Seal - "Save Water" - awarded at the time of signing up to this commitment.

The award of the Save Water label by the Algarve Tourism Board is the result of the holiday resort's voluntary adherence to the "Commitment to Water Efficiency" for the Algarve tourism sector.
