The aim of this project is to address, in a systematic and integrated way, a set of needs present in the Alberto Martins de Andrade social enterprise in the parish of São Félix da Marinha. After consulting residents, non-residents and partners (local associations), as well as other stakeholders close to the development, it was found that the main problems in the area are the isolation of the elderly, the lack of space to support the study of children and young people, and the underuse of the neighbourhood's community gardens. They also stressed the need to promote unity and self-organisation among the residents of the development, in order to identify needs and find solutions in an independent, participatory and united way, promoting greater socio-economic development. This is how the "São Félix on the edge of citizenship" project was presented, as an integrated response to the needs identified by the neighbourhood's stakeholders.
