Rizoma makes it possible for the local community to jointly build a more socially, economically and ecologically sustainable neighbourhood by creating a multi-sector cooperative that includes a grocery store with sustainable and healthy products.

The community grocery store, participatory and self-managed by and for the community, guarantees quality products at fair prices for those who produce and co-operate. Every "member-consumer" is also an "owner" and "worker" and contributes 3h/month to the running of the shop. We offer hundreds of local products at competitive prices, we support more than 80 local and/or sustainable producers, and we practise transparency in terms of prices and product information.

The project is a collective citizens' initiative with over 400 active members in which all profits are reinvested in the project and which aims to combine quality, sustainability, health, affordable prices, transparency, collaboration, education, solidarity and critical citizenship.
