This was a project carried out by Loulé Municipal Council in partnership with Inframoura. Rua do Sol is a structural road in the Vilamoura road network, connecting the centre of Vilamoura to Quarteira. This revitalization was extremely important, not only because it restored dignity to the area, namely at the level of pavements, public lighting and street furniture, which until then suffered from serious deficiencies, but also at the level of road safety, having been safeguarded with regard to pedestrian traffic and the protection of soft mobility modes. The buried infrastructures were also the target of intervention, having been equally renovated and requalified. The landscaping along this road contributed to dignify this very central artery, not only through the creation of new green beds but also in the enhancement and beautification of the pedestrian circulation corridor.
