The intervention in the Praia da Marina Boulevard, continued the design of giving back the city to the pedestrian with solutions focused on an urban and contemporary reading of the public space The requalification of the Praia da Marina avenue was one more step given in the urban requalification of the downtown of Vilamoura, a path that began to be traced almost a decade ago by Inframoura, keeping the focus on the promotion of soft mobility ways. With the conversion of this area, the aim was to continue the series of interventions, promoted under the auspices of Loulé Municipal Council, which have given a more urban profile and language to the heart of Vilamoura. The intervention provided for the creation of an interface area between the "ring" of hotels and the Alameda, and allowed direct access to the central footpath of this road and the Marina Beach. This connection made possible the cycling access to the beach, where there are already bicycle parking spots, being also foreseen the creation of a new shared bicycle station. With this work, Inframoura continued its commitment to the modernization of the spaces and the promotion of quality of life, not only for the residents of Vilamoura, but also for those who work here, or simply enjoy the public spaces for leisure. The main objective of the work was to give this area back to the pedestrian, increasing and valuing the space destined for them, since the mobility conditions were inadequate due to the increase in urban pressure that has been registered. At a landscape and environmental level, the reinforcement of the trees and plant cover on the avenue, which in the future will converge with the green corridor for access to the beach planned for Tivoli Square, was a fundamental option.
