RE-FEED - Renewable Energy production at Farm level for Energy Efficiency and Defossilisation
#Portalegre
#Instituição de ensino
This project aims to promote energy efficiency and the installation of production units for self-consumption, individually, collectively or in the context of renewable energy communities, by promoting renewable energies and decentralised electricity production, reducing energy costs and increasing energy efficiency. It aims to demonstrate the decentralised production of energy from endogenous resources (solar and biomass); contribute to a voluntary energy certification benchmark through energy efficiency plans applied to different types of pig farms; create added value for farms from co-products/services; and promote the transfer of knowledge and innovation on a local, regional and national scale. The aim of this project is to draw up energy efficiency plans for each type of farm, indicating efficient use measures that can be implemented; to set up a pilot demonstration unit to produce energy for self-consumption, including solar energy and biogas production; to produce an organic fertiliser that is safe from a microbiological point of view and to evaluate potential scenarios for selling carbon credits.
