This project aims to launch a mobile, modular, solar-assisted pyrolysis unit to incorporate renewable energy technologies into the agricultural and forestry sectors. The project will demonstrate the thermochemical conversion of residual agricultural and forestry biomass into sustainable, value-added products, namely biochar and wood vinegar, as well as into renewable energy carriers (bio-oil and pyrogas) for local use. This project will diversify the raw material and technological base for biochar production and, at the same time, accelerate the acceptance of biochar and wood vinegar in the market for fertilisers and biopesticides based on residual biomass.
