The "Porto Longo Rios com História" project aims to make the local community aware of the HISTORICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL importance of the water lines and mills in the Monte Redondo parish area. It's a project currently being developed by just over half a dozen volunteers. Its Action Plan aims to unite the efforts of local people, especially young people, to get involved in this issue. The project aims to monitor a section of the river as a model to follow, upstream and downstream of these streams, which form one of the main tributaries of the River Lis. In order to attract the interest of the community, the aim is to create a walking circuit, "Caminhar entre Rios", with various points of interest to visit. Its location close to the various schools in the parish is an added value for the valorisation of this project and for obtaining technical and financial support from the Public Entities.
