ADAV-Leiria is an IPSS that operates in the Leiria region and its mission is to support pregnant women, mothers who have recently given birth and babies in fragile situations. Support is provided from pregnancy until the baby is two years old, with a strong focus on empowering families so that they can independently pursue a structured and happy family project. ADAV-Leiria provides close support, focusing on a relationship of trust, through home visits and regular face-to-face meetings with pregnant women and families. ADAV-Leiria's ultimate aim is to empower and train families (maternal and child health, financial literacy and employability) and thus help them to be included in society. At the moment, ADAV-Leiria accompanies 25 pregnant women and 14 women who have recently given birth. In 2024, it assisted 77 families (50 pregnant women) in a total of 1,385 visits.
