Recognising the educational and academic community as important agents of behavioural change, we challenge these partners to make the river an object of study. We hope that the water, that nature lends us and that flows in our river, can be returned to follow its course to other municipalities towards the sea, and that it can be a "classroom" and an example to follow in terms of repairing old and new mistakes that were and are made to the Arunca River and its tributaries (Anços River, Ourão River). We develop activities both on the river and integrated in the teaching times of the educational centres that contact us. We began our activities in January 2021 at the Arunca River Dam, and we already have several participations in different schools - Travasso, Redinha, Fonte Nova, Gualdim Pais - and a very special participation at the invitation of the Municipality of Pombal for Mr. Secretary of State for the Environment. It is supported by didactic material for the dissemination of biodiversity.
