The Ludoteca das Fontainhas is a play centre open to the community, attended mainly by young people in the 2nd and 3rd cycles of primary school. The aim is to offer users positive physical, psychological and social experiences appropriate to their age and condition. Through physical, artistic and cultural activities, the aim is to offer a range of diverse experiences that contribute to healthy development in a way that is accessible to all. The centre is part of Cascais City Council's network of play areas and play libraries. By working as a network, we aim to be a benchmark for the nature and quality of the activities and projects we offer the community, responding in the best way to their needs. Following the outbreak of the pandemic, we strengthened our response to family support, currently closely accompanying users' families, providing social support and/or referrals to the appropriate organisations.
