MAR Shopping Algarve's "Beach Cleaning" project, which began in May 2021, held its third edition in May 2022 at Salgados Beach, Albufeira, with the support of public and private organisations and numerous volunteers. It emphasised concern about environmental damage and the impact on the ocean. The initiative involved partnerships with various organisations such as the Portuguese Environment Agency, ERP and ICNF, culminating in a workshop on invasive plants. This initiative shows positive results, including 11 partners, 15 volunteers, an average recycling rate of 67% and the collection of 360kg of rubbish.
