The Young Health Promoters Project is a project organised by the Health Education Department of the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC)-Northern Regional Centre, which promotes the training of young people in the 3rd cycle (7th to 9th grade), giving them the skills to independently develop health education activities with the whole community and grow as active, creative and responsible citizens. It aims to increase health literacy and instil healthy lifestyle habits, contributing to cancer prevention. Various activities are organised in collaboration with the different clubs and projects in the school: World Food Day; No Smoking Day; Alcoholism, Mental Health, Importance of Physical Exercise; Pink October - Breast Cancer Prevention, Healthy Sun Heroes, European Code Against Cancer Championship - GAME ON; World Cancer Day; HPV; Participation in the Forum organised by the LPCC Health Education Department.
