The IRINA project aims to be a useful and simplified tool for warning of natural risks, available to civil protection agents and accessible to the community.
The innovative IRINA I Natural Fire Risk Index formula, certified by a higher education institution - IPVC and regularly applied by the volunteer firefighters of Ponte de Lima.
These studies aim to respond to SDG 13 - Climate Action (Adopt urgent measures to combat climate change and its impacts) and target 13.1 - Educate the population about climate change. This area of research will be further developed with the respective results for climate change in the Minho region (NW Portugal).
