The Polytechnic Institute of Leiria has formalised a protocol with Pombal City Council to open a Training Centre with various Higher Professional Technical courses (TeSP). It currently has 8 courses in place: Environment, Heritage and Sustainable Tourism; Digital Communication; Gerontology; Food Innovation and Technology; Social and Community Intervention; Digital Marketing in Tourism; Administrative Practices and Business Communication; and finally, Clinical Secretarial. The courses were chosen according to the dynamics of the labour market and respond to the employment and qualification needs of the local and regional business fabric. They are taught in a higher education environment by lecturers from the Polytechnic of Leiria.
