INOVCIRCOLIVE - Innovation and Circularity in the Olive Oil Sector

The initiative now being proposed aims to take a holistic approach to the valorisation of surpluses generated in the olive oil sector from the perspective that waste is a resource. This approach involves reducing the pressure of agricultural activity on the use of natural resources; reducing disposal costs by transforming waste and by-products into benefits; and developing innovative new products, processes and services with greater added value. The initiative will prioritise activities linked to agricultural recovery, but also introduces an innovative character with organic recovery, and introduces a strong research component, based on scientific rigour, always developed from a perspective that benefits the producer, in the sense of not generating expense, easy applicability, respect for environmental protection and strict compliance with the legislation in force.
