The parish council of Santa Maria, São Pedro and Matacães has set up a Psychosocial Support Office, with the aim of filling the gaps in the response given to the most deprived parishioners or those at risk of social exclusion. The office's general aim is to intervene at a social level and to prevent and promote mental health among the community in situations of socio-economic vulnerability and social exclusion. The office is made up of a multidisciplinary team that intervenes at various levels.
