FabConnectHer is a European project that combats the under-representation of women in the S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) fields, exploiting the potential of Fab Labs - such as Viva Lab Porto - to reduce the gender gap. The aim is to inspire, empower and create support networks that promote future women innovators. In Fab Labs, participants have access to machines, equipment and an inclusive environment to develop technological and creative skills, turning ideas into solutions. One of the project's pillars is the creation of FabConnectHer Learning Spaces in Fab Labs and European educational institutions, with mentoring programmes and an Educator Network, forming a sustainable ecosystem that supports inclusive and innovative S.T.E.A.M. education.
