The "Me and My Retirement" Initiative promoted by Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, in partnership with the Municipalities of Maia, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Vila Nova de Gaia and Valongo, presents a proposed solution, successfully tested, embodied in an integrated programme to promote and improve the levels of financial literacy among the population aged 55 or over. It aims at financial and digital inclusion, reducing, on one hand, asymmetries of information and financial knowledge and, on the other hand, empowering participants to access and use financial and digital services, contributing to the acquisition of knowledge and skills, and to the change of behaviours and attitudes, in an environment of trust between citizens and the financial system, providing the population's well-being, social inclusion and the generation of economic value and social impact.
