Since 2014, the Azores Sea Observatory and the Porto Pim Whale Factory have been organising the Christmas Ecofair. This event, which usually takes place over a weekend, aims to counteract the consumerist trend typical of this festive season by promoting the sale of used materials, handicrafts and local products. Every year, we put together between 20 and 30 stalls, which include local products, handicrafts, second-hand items and spaces dedicated to raising awareness of issues such as food waste and the separation of biodegradable waste.
