ECO Quinta Villa Maria is a natural space that is an environmental, educational and ecotourism concept. It covers an area of around 5 hectares and is being subject to a planning and reforestation programme using native species. The coordinator of this whole project is the company Living Place - Animação Turística.

This leisure space can be used by families, groups of friends, schools, companies, both in a work context and for leisure activities, environmental awareness for protection and conservation, scientific studies and social actions to change people's behaviour in relation to the environment, or simply to relax in direct contact with nature, absorbing its tranquillity, sounds, colours, smells and various sensations.

The emblematic sites include the centenary Louriçal and the meadow with trees growing at an early stage, the pond and the water tanks that reflect the tranquillity of the sound of the water, and the bamboo grove with a more private connotation where the watercourse is constant.

The pedagogical garden is in full development, taking advantage of the naturally existing water resources. The species in this space are being monitored with night cameras.
