DesCoser Preconceitos is a community project launched in October 2024 at Viva Lab Porto that promotes the reuse of textile waste in monthly meetings open to the community. More than sewing, it encourages the deconstruction of prejudices and creative and sustainable creation, bringing together people of all ages and levels of experience in an inclusive and free space. Between tradition and technology, it explores circular solutions, gives new life to fabrics and turns sewing into a tool for learning, socialising and social transformation. With the support of Lipor, Viva Lab has established itself as a space with a positive impact, where not only fabrics are sewn, but also relationships, ideas and fairer, more sustainable futures.
