Caring for Carrazeda: mental health in a pandemic context

This project, with an estimated duration of 9 months, is aimed at the community of Carrazeda de Ansiães, through an intervention in the social and health areas. Considering the current pandemic context, the aim is to reduce the limitations imposed by the countryside on access to mental health care, due to the lack of mobility and transport conditions; the number of elderly people and people with chronic illnesses at risk of Covid-19; the number of elderly people in social exclusion, isolation or abandonment; people in unemployment, lay-off or job insecurity; people with few years of schooling; people covered by social action benefits and support. This application aims to fill these gaps in a region that is lacking in mental health intervention for the population, covering prevention and clinical and social intervention, facilitating access to mental health care.
