The central objective of Growing at Home is to cultivate a community of 200 Local Growers. Together with the population of the Parish of São Vicente and in a participatory way, we will develop the design, construction and distribution of "Grow at Home" Kits, consisting of pots, soil, seeds and useful information. By receiving this kit, the person becomes a member of this community of local Growers and has the opportunity to grow plants at home while sharing experiences with the other members. To strengthen this network of mutual support in order to respond to the current needs of this population, we will develop activities that include for example: the co-design of the kits, promotion of intergenerational knowledge sharing on plant cultivation, seed exchange and workshops to create mini-gardens. After the implementation of the "Growing at Home" project we intend to co-create a community garden with the new network of local Cultivators.
