Circular - The EN2 Collaborative Shop

The "Circular" Collaborative Shop was set up by the iCreate Association in Poiares, at kilometre 248 of the National Road 2 route. The EN2 is a mythical national road that runs through the municipality of Vila Nova de Poiares. The shop will empower and add value to the women artisans on the route by sharing knowledge together in a town that is crossed by the road. A collaborative shop is usually made up of different spaces, cubes, shelves and/or other forms of display, which function as mini shops sharing the same space. These spaces within the shop are given over to different creatives (artisans, designers, artists, stylists...) who find an affordable way to sell, showcase and promote their creations and brands, adding the intangible cube of learning together. A mural alluding to the EN2 was recently painted on the outside wall of the shop that is the target of this project, making it a favoured spot for selling handicraft products alluding to the route.
