Neighbourhood Study Centre - "Vitamina Mentes"

Developing a Study Centre in each social district in order to promote the academic success of disadvantaged or socially vulnerable children. Taking advantage of this Study Centre to hold health and citizenship promotion sessions, particularly for the participating children and their families. Our proposal is to intervene in the city's three social housing estates through a response focused on the education of the children and young people in these neighbourhoods. We believe that young people will be the main drivers of the changes we want to achieve in the medium or long term in terms of the different determinants of health, from biological to social and economic, environmental, commercial and lifestyle. From our point of view, the only effective way to bring about change in these communities is through education and the empowerment of those who were born into the most unfavourable conditions and find themselves in extremely vulnerable situations.
