The Casa de Emergência Social (Social Emergency Home) is a response from the Parish of Santa Maria, São Pedro and Matacães, aimed at the urgent and temporary reception of adult individuals or families in situations of special vulnerability and social unprotection. Situations of vulnerability and social protection are considered if the minimum conditions for survival are not guaranteed and if they constitute a current or imminent danger to the physical and psychological integrity of the person, requiring emergency intervention or referral to other social responses. The House offers temporary accommodation, with a limit of 3 months, extendable in limited and/or exceptional situations, up to a maximum of 6 months. General Objective: To ensure the reception of those who need a temporary response in terms of accommodation with conditions to change the current emergency situation.
