The success of Castelo Rodrigo's application for Best Tourism Village was due to the successful implementation of various projects in this Historic Village, such as the following: ECOPARQUE for electric vehicles and bicycles, a free Wi-Fi network, the Crafts and Heritage Vocational Training Centre (CEARTE) and certification as a Biosphere Destination.
