Barronhos project is an initiative that emerges from a process of territorial animation, where young residents of the territory, through an initial training process, applied by their peers, acquired methods and tools, which allowed them to make a diagnosis of the community and structure intervention proposals, based on their skills and talents. Barronhos project is thus an aspiration of a group of young people who intend to implement actions in the fields of health, education, culture and development of personal and professional knowledge, which allow to create an ecosystem and make possible an effective improvement in the quality of life of the territory, based on the knowledge and skills existing in the community, complemented with external knowledge and resources. It intends to create favourable conditions for the participation and self-organisation of young people, as the main agents of change in the different spheres that affect them, creating a favourable context for their valorisation, development and well-being.
