"BANTU a Crescer" is a social intervention project aimed primarily at children and young people aged 6 to 25 living in the parish of Costa da Caparica, namely in the Terras da Costa/Lelo Martins neighbourhoods, the Fishermen's neighbourhood and the Campo da Bola neighbourhood, who are in a situation of vulnerability and social exclusion. Its aim is to empower and give back to the community the possibility of acquiring, developing and increasing personal, social, emotional, scholastic, digital, artistic and sporting skills integrated into non-formal actions, through a combination of Education and Training - Health and Socio-emotional Wellbeing - Arts, Culture and Sport. "Bantu" is a term from sub-Saharan Africa that refers to more than 400 different ethnic groups living in the same area and means "person, human being".
