Amílcar Cabral Association and Neighbourhood - Intercultural (Com)vivencia

The project "Associação e Bairro Amílcar Cabral-(Com)vivência Intercultural" (Amílcar Cabral Association and Neighbourhood - Intercultural Living) is a socio-community response that aims to create a range of actions aimed at upgrading the neighbourhood, common areas, training and empowering residents. It also aims to strengthen the neighbourhood's immigrant association, improving its work on migratory issues and making it a reference point for the integration of immigrant communities. By making the neighbourhood active, with activities that appeal to active citizenship, it will be possible to boost the neighbourhood, overcoming isolation/sedentariness and rescuing the sense of neighbourliness that was once more pronounced in society, as well as the spirit of mutual help. Well-being will be promoted through healthy habits with repercussions on the physical and mental health of those involved. The activities aim to involve the whole community in a sense of co-operation, as participatory agents of change, enabling them to achieve their individual and collective development.
