Monitoring action in the scope of the "Coastwatch" project, GEOTA project for the preservation of the Oceans, and cleaning action and rubbish collection in the monitored sites in coastal units belonging to the Armona island.(Two units adjoining the right of the pier).

Specific goals:

• To observe, locate, describe and interpret the coastal area to be monitored, regarding the characteristics of the area, species, pollutant materials;
• To complete the Coastwatch questionnaire;
• To promote research and fieldwork in the disciplines involved;
• To motivate students and promote learning by discovery (observation skills);
• To involve and participate in environmental issues, namely risks and impacts of human activity on the coast;
• To promote values of preservation of natural heritage with a clean-up action and rubbish collection in the coastal areas to be worked on;
• Develop communication between students and teachers.
