Culatra Responsable

Integrated project for the empowerment of the Culatra community and residents' organisation, to foster social cohesion and promote full citizenship, based on the principles of participation and construction of solutions in which the community feels comfortable. The context of intervention plays an important role, as it is an island with a very rich history of collective demands and participation in solving common problems; it is essential that this condition is cemented, particularly through the development of social initiatives, support systems for promoting social justice, practical conditions for the foundations of the circular economy, the maintenance of the activities that characterise the economic matrix of the fishing nucleus and the strong connection with resource management and ecosystem preservation. These activities aim to improve the quality of life of the community, strengthen the spirit of sharing and build new, innovative and sustainable solutions.
