European Mobility Week is an annual commitment of the municipality of Loulé. The 2023 edition was part of the Fava Festival - Algarve Environmental and Vegan Fair, where the surroundings of the Eng.º Duarte Pacheco monument served as the stage for various initiatives alluding to Mobility under the motto of "PARK(ing) DAY - Take your place in the city", namely: - 170 EcoTurns on the Ecokart Twin; - 90 Turns on the Bee S1 cargo bike; - Actions to raise awareness of sustainable (electric) mobility in addition to sustainable motor sports, recycling, reuse and the conversion of combustion vehicles to electric; - Promoting the transition of work vehicles to electric, an important aspect of decarbonising mobility. This initiative came about through a partnership between Ecomood Portugal and the Municipality of Loulé and was an excellent way of promoting safe urban mobility. It should be remembered that European Mobility Week is an initiative of the European Commission, during which European citizens have the opportunity to take part in activities dedicated to sustainable mobility and which aims to promote behavioural changes in favour of active mobility, public transport and other less polluting and smarter mobility options.
