Seixal On, launched at the beginning of March 2020, is a brand that brings together a set of innovative ideas and projects, based on technological solutions that promote knowledge in the areas of the environment, biodiversity, mobility, energy, decarbonisation, air quality and climate change, with the main objective of improving the quality of life of citizens in a sustainable municipality.

The Living Laboratory for Decarbonisation, which is currently being implemented, is the project of excellence that marks the creation of this brand, continuing the process of reducing CO2 emissions, which fell by around 36% between 2007 and 2018, as a result of the commitment made by the municipality of Seixal under the Covenant of Mayors.

This laboratory extends over a 4-kilometre area for experimenting with innovative solutions along the shores of Seixal Bay.
