The concept of environmental education has undergone a significant evolution in its meaning. It is increasingly accepted as synonymous with education for sustainable development or education for sustainability. The Municipal Programme for Education for Sustainability offers, on an annual basis, in collaboration with a range of partners, environmental education and awareness-raising initiatives that promote access to information and good environmental practices, with a view to changing behaviour, thereby contributing to a municipality with a better quality of life and one that is more environmentally sustainable.
