The Municipality of Amadora has 11 dog parks, built by the City Council and integrated into the various parishes of the Municipality of Amadora.

The municipal dog parks are open-air spaces, fenced off, with shaded areas, equipped with all the necessary equipment so that the animals can enjoy them, running and playing, freely and safely, without the need for a leash or muzzle and without the risk of escaping onto the public highway, following current trends in comfort and safety.

These spaces have an area of approximately 400m2 and are equipped with facilities that promote physical exercise, agility and motivational stimulation, as well as drinking fountains for the animals and their companions and a toilet area.

The implementation of this network of parks is one of the responses to the animal population's need for quality of life, improving safety conditions for animals and residents. It was designed taking into account the aesthetic and functional concerns of each piece of equipment, and is duly integrated into the urban fabric, respecting the specific characteristics of its location.
