For nearly 30 years, Loulé has focused on environmental education - environmental education for sustainable development - through the promotion of environmental education facilities, various environmental education projects and environmental (in)training and awareness-raising activities aimed at the general public. Through these environmental education centres, it has been a concern and one of its priorities to help educate the general public, children and young people to be more environmentally aware and informed, and to encourage them to adopt more sustainable habits, by tackling current environmental issues and publicising the environmental reality of the municipality of Loulé and the region, with the aim of promoting and calling for the conservation of natural and environmental resources. CA strives for local, regional and national cooperation and establishes partnerships with other organisations (such as APA, GEOTA, RIAS and ICNF) with a view to sharing knowledge and enriching some of its activities.
