No Fertilisers – Sustainability and the Circular Economy

#Oliveira de Frades #Associação #agricultura #sustentabilidade #economia-circular
Associação Sem Adubos continues to develop a series of actions aimed at reducing the impact of isolation (and loneliness) among the most vulnerable population. The "Social Diagnosis 2019 2023" identifies health (with eating habits as the main cause), ageing and depopulation as some of the main social problems. Also, the absence of a nearby Day Centre leaves this population even more resigned and susceptible to the risk of physical and mental illness. We continue to involve this population through active participation in a range of activities related to subsistence and small-scale agricultural work. The gardens continue to be the motto for consolidating a transversal, intergenerational process that promotes the exchange of knowledge and the important construction and reinforcement of an identity. "Sem Adubos" is, as the name suggests, an excellent example of an organic, sustainable, extremely fertile and healthy "house".
