The network of Energy Supporters and Mentors was born in 2022 out of a European project, POWERPOOR, in which 140 people across the country were trained in energy counselling. At the end of the project and given the desire to continue by a small group of members of the Coopérnico cooperative, the Energy Counselling Working Group was set up with the board's approval. The Working Group helps citizens and families to use energy efficiently, analyse their consumption, read and understand energy bills (tariffs, power, time cycle), improve the energy efficiency and thermal comfort of buildings and find out about support programmes. The request for advice is made via a form, the applicant is contacted to arrange the advice and it will be provided on the agreed date. This service is free of charge and is provided on a voluntary basis by the 10 members of the Group, by telephone, zoom or face-to-face visit, if requested.
