CLAIM Serpa/Pias was set up on 6 February 2018 as part of the Interculturalidades, Medida + Cidadão, Contrato Local de Segurança project, through a protocol with the then ACM, CM Serpa and JF Pias, joining the network of 92 CLAIMs in the country. Since then it has operated with various financial supports, namely FAMI and CMSerpa. It currently works with the support of AIMA and CMSerpa, by signing a protocol. Its mission is to welcome, inform and support migrants who live, work or study in the municipality of Serpa in the process of regularising their migration and nationality status, as well as social, professional and economic inclusion. Between 2018 and 2024 it has already assisted 1,547 migrants, to whom 4,232 calls were made.
