CANBEC Fenais da Luz was created in 2024 as part of the From Fenais to Fenais - Culture Matrix of Local Development project. Located in Casa do Dízimo and part of the Azores For All Agency, the space develops activities and experiences that promote and enhance the natural and cultural heritage of the parish of Fenais da Luz. A space dedicated to the history of whaling on the island of São Miguel and which promotes the cultural, natural and social heritage of the parishes of Fenais da Luz, Rabo de Peixe, Maia and Fenais da Ajuda.

The Casa do Dízimo (Tithe House) is a 16th century building with 16th century features, located in the parish of Fenais da Luz, where according to popular tradition the tithe, a tenth of what was produced, was collected. This space promotes cultural and nature tourism and the "Terras de Azorina" territorial brand, linked to ecotourism and the valorisation of local heritage. Open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (high season).
